本書簡介
您知道塞翁失馬這句話的起源嗎？由該故事可瞭解塞翁的達觀心態，本書列舉一些中國寓言故事，內容淺讀易懂，適合讀閱。可以做課外讀物，供學生自修；也可以做補充教材，在教室使用。
本書的課文都是由吳奚真、郭立誠、葉德明諸先生撰寫的。生字的注音，兼用國語「注音符號」和「耶魯羅馬拼音」；詞類的畫分，則採用耶魯大學出版的Dictionary of Spoken Chinese的制度。每課課文後面均附有下列四個部分：一、生字與生詞；二、句型；三、句子練習；四、習題。在「生字與生詞］部分，附有＊標者是以前沒有學過的生字。
